The Secret Garage Fridge Operation That Ended With a Strawberry Banana Smoothie 😂🥤

For what felt like the hundredth time that month, every time I wanted to go downstairs to get something from our garage fridge, my partner would suddenly appear out of nowhere and say, "I will get it for you!" 😂

I love being spoiled, but eventually my girl's sixth sense kicked in. Sure enough, I snuck into the garage like the Pink Panther. 🕵️‍♀️

"Surprise!"

I found a new stash of Gatorade hiding in the garage fridge and empty bottles already sitting in the recycling bin. 🥤 At first, I thought to myself, it's summer. Let boys be boys. ☀️

But when I found a new stash for the third time, I decided, "Three strikes and you're out!" 😂

Later that night, I told my partner I was going to bed early, then quietly snuck upstairs to the loft. He nearly choked when he saw me. 😳

It was too late for him to hide the drink, so he proceeded to say, "It's too hot. Marines need cold drinks!"

All I said was, "Enjoy! Watch the belly!" 🤣

Short and simple. That was all the reminder he needed.

The next morning, I started thinking maybe that was a little too harsh. 😅

I pulled out the Vitamix and decided to make him something better.

A smoothie with milk would be way too boring.

I chopped up some strawberries and banana, then added some orange juice. 🍓🍌🍊

I have nothing against milk smoothies, but orange juice makes this taste like something you'd order on vacation instead of something you're drinking before work. 🍊

That instantly upgraded the whole experience.

When he heard the loud commotion and wandered into the kitchen sleepily, I thought I saw sparkles in his eyes. ✨

I'm sure it wasn't the morning sunlight, not after all my hard work in the kitchen and sacrificing my entire five minutes of snoozing time to make this! 😂

I made sure to add plenty of extra ice so it would be Marine approved. 🧊

He immediately gulped down an entire cup and asked for more.

By then, the kids had all wandered into the kitchen too. Everyone loved starting the morning feeling refreshed. ☀️

Within minutes, I went from catching people sneaking drinks to having people line up for refills. 😂

Even the kids asked when I was going to make it again so they could wake up early and drink more before heading off to school. 🍓

I guess that put the sneaky behavior to an end, at least for now. 😂

I think my partner knew what he was getting into when he chose a doctor. Sometimes he misses his junk food, but when he looks in the mirror, he doesn't see it as much of a sacrifice.

For someone who used to model when he was younger, he still cares about looking good at his age. 😎
