One Man Bragged About His Steaks. Three People Ended Up Working for Me! 👩‍💼😂

There is a fine line between sharing your glorious college memories and accidentally volunteering to cook dinner.

My partner crossed it! 😂

If my partner's college stories were to be believed, an entire steakhouse might have gone out of business without him!

Whenever the kitchen ran short of cooks, who would come charging to the rescue?

The manager himself!

The way he went on about his steaks, I was beginning to wonder whether the restaurant had ever recovered from losing him.

Perhaps there was still a framed photograph of him hanging in the kitchen.

Right next to the fire extinguisher! 😂

Wait a minute!

All these years, I'd been wondering what to make for dinner, while a supposedly legendary steak chef had been living right under my roof!

What a terrible waste of talent!

Six ribeye steaks. One hot grill.

His retirement was officially canceled! 😂

Then I had another brilliant idea!

If my partner was such a culinary genius, perhaps we had two more hiding under our roof!

The kids!

Of course, they needed to be tested too! 😂

Their assignments? Wrap the corn in foil for Dad to grill, and make Trader Joe's sweet potato fries in the air fryer.

And what better way to convince them to try sweet potato fries instead of their usual French fries than to let them cook their own?

With my entire kitchen staff hard at work, there was only one position left.

Supervisor!

After years of cooking for this family, I had finally been promoted to management! 😂

Dinner was spectacular!

Juicy ribeyes seasoned with Kinder's The Blend, sweet corn, and crispy sweet potato fries. My little family restaurant had outdone itself!

Unfortunately, success went straight to their heads!

The bragging was spreading like wildfire!

My partner was boasting about his steaks. The kids were competing for credit for the corn and fries!

I'd started with one self-proclaimed steakhouse legend.

Now I had three! 😂

And when they all insisted on cooking again, I could hardly contain my excitement!

Who knew the cure for cooking dinner every night was simply to let everyone else develop an enormous ego? 😂

I hope this inspires you to put your own family to the test and discover a few hidden chefs in your household!

Instructions

  1. Grill the Corn on the Cob:

    • Preheat your grill to high heat.
    • Wash each of the corn on the cob thoroughly.
    • Wrap each corn on the cob in aluminum foil well.
    • Place the corn on the grill, turning occasionally, until you can start to smell the sweetness of the corn, about 20 to 30 minutes.
    • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). We like to use our PowerXL Air Fryer 7 QT Maxx Classic.
    • Arrange the sweet potato fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until crispy and golden brown.
  2. Grill the Ribeye Steaks:

    • Pat the ribeye steaks dry with paper towels. Generously rub both sides of the steaks with Kinder’s The Blend seasoning.
    • Place the steaks on the grill. Grill for 2-3 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
    • Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  3. Serve and Enjoy:

    • Plate the grilled ribeye steaks with grilled corn on the cob.
    • Serve immediately and enjoy your Sizzling Summer Delight!
  4. Don't Forget the Fries:

Be sure to include your side of sweet potato fries for that added crunch that is packed with nutrition.

  5. Tips for Success:

    • For the perfect steak, use a meat thermometer to check for doneness: 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare, 140°F (60°C) for medium, and 150°F (65°C) for medium-well.
    • To ensure crispy sweet potato fries, avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket.
    • Experiment with different seasonings to suit your taste preferences!
    • Treat yourself and your loved ones to this Sizzling Summer Delight, complete with a savory side of sweet potato fries, for a quick, healthy, and absolutely delicious meal that’s sure to impress!
